Those errors are usually caused by two things:
You don't have all the updates installed on your computer for Windows 8.1, therefore go to Start and type Windows Update and apply all the available updates.
The software is not compatible with Windows 8.1 which means you need to right click the executable file and choose Properties > Comptibility. Select a previous version of Windows from the drop down list and then run it again.
I've searched the application and it appears that ArcSoft ShowBiz appears only on the Microsoft Store. There is no other place where you can get it. Secondly, the ArcSoft website contains a page where you can see all the updates available.
The license key being invalid could be due to various reasons like the key being expired or entered incorrectly. The user can try contacting ArcSoft support for assistance in resolving the issue.
I just got a new computer with Windows 10 and I can't get into my DVDs that I have made in the past. What should I do? I tried installing the version 2 and it won't work.

As far as I know, ArcSoft ShowBiz is an application that lacks an update for the Windows 10 operating system. I've seen other users who had this issue as well, and the only thing is to either run the program in compatibility mode to be able to load the content from your CDs or install an older version of Windows (one that's fully compatible with ShowBiz, for example, Windows XP is OK for that) and continue from there.
To apply compatibility mode, right click the application and go to Properties > Compatibility. Set the compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3 and that's it.
Hi - was running fine in Windows 10 on old machine but it became very juddery video as laptop was old! Have a Windows 11 laptop now but in the first drop down my only option is the inbuilt webcam - it's not seeing the camera input. Have tried updating software and drivers but it keeps saying there's an error and can't install (1152: Error extracting) - have cleared temp files but still the same. Could you please advise? Thanks in advance. Steve

It is possible that ArcSoft ShowBiz may not be compatible with Windows 11. You may need to contact ArcSoft support for further assistance in resolving the issue.
Since I last used this software, something seems to have gone wrong. When I try to capture video, I have eveerything set correct in the Cpture window, such that I can see the video playing and hear the audio. BUT, when I pres capture, the software tells me "No fideo signal detected" Why? How do I fix this?

This is the only way to obtain updates for the application. You can try the Microsoft Store option as well, but I don't think it will work this way.

You can do it via official website of ArcSoft.

You can install Windows XP through virtualization: http://virtualbox.informer.com/
To apply compatibility mode, right click the application and go to Properties > Compatibility. Set the compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3 and that's it.
